I mean…not entirely wrong…no hate to team green tho, they do make high performance cards

Those are the choices for everyone, not just nvidia users.

When AMD makes cards that compete with the 4090 and 5090 I’ll consider it

That’s only the xx90 and it’s very rare. Dumb meme. Also it’s more like…. My choice is to use AMD or… have good video encoding and CUDA support for work. Unfortunately that means Nvidia is my only option

As an amd user the random inexplicable driver timeouts get old pretty fast

I currently have and use two PCs that both have Nvidia GPUs in them. A 3070ti and a 1070. Ive also got an old GTX 1650 in an Optiplex Im giving to a buddy.

Today I ordered a 9070XT to replace the 3070ti, and Ill move the 3070ti to where the 1070 is.

I wanted to get a 4080 Super last year, but decided to wait till the 50 series came out to see how they were. That was a mistake.

Or you can be like me and be happy with a 3060Ti. 😀

when AMD make a card that compares in performance outright (not performance per $) with the 80 and 90 series cards then I will buy 1, but while they are only competing with the 70 and below series cards its not worth me going AMD.

  8. MrCleanRed

I am tired of this narrative. 9070xt costs as much, or even more than 5070ti now. AMD is posting fake msrp themselves.

Only thing I hate about AMD is that FSR4 will take time to be everywhere.

  10. MrDestructo

My 7900xtx melted, it definitely happens.

AMD charges as much as they can get away with–all companies do.

Don’t pick brands. Pick an individual product. Brands do not give a shit about you.

  12. HisDivineOrder

AMD isn’t even in the running with gamers who’d buy a 5090. AMD opted not to compete.

It should be “Use GPU’s that melt and blackscreen randomly and don’t play Ghost of Tsushima without the shadows flickering and whatever else was in that huge list of problems I saw the other day on their driver ‘open issues’ and cost around or over $1k.”

Versus “Use an AMD that increased in price more than the equivalent Nvidia product increased in price because AMD’s launch price was an outright lie that effectively was a launch day sale instead of an MSRP.”

    Accuracy is important.

If you’re buying a 5090, you either need what it provides or want the best. Both of which no AMD card can compete.

    This sub is REALLY weird.

DLSS is still superior and much more common than FSR 4 (which is the only version that looks good, in my opinion)

  15. PathlessBullet

mfw overpriced GPUs are both buttons

  16. NimRodelle

No hate? The 50 series launch has made it blindingly obvious that they don’t give a damn about gamers. If you’re so brand obsessed that you can’t see that ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.

AMD is almost as bad, lying about MSRP, but at least they pretend to care about anything other than AI.

  17. Economy-Regret1353

So does AMD have a good DLDSR + DLSS Quality option?

  18. pacoLL3

Why is this subreddit so incredibly stupid.

  19. n19htmare

Considering 9070XT’s price has crawled itself into 5070ti territory, there is little to no incentive to get the 9070 XT over the 5070ti.
