Nvidia reportedly raises GPU prices by 10-15% as manufacturing costs surge — tariffs and TSMC price hikes filter down to retailers

They were already like 50% higher than they should have been

This was expected by pretty much everyone, there is not enough profit margin to absorb tariffs. Companies are not going to reduce their profits, and in most cases I bet they make a small amount on it.

4080 buyers feeling pretty good right now. That seemed like the time to jump in until the 6000 series.

  4. It is not “filter” down. More close to snowball down.

I switched to macOS (the Mac Mini M4 is amazing) after being a bi*ch of Microsoft for the past 2 decades.

And I bought a PS5 for gaming – after building my last 4 PCs by myself. I’m done with having the best resolution and 165Hz. The older I get – the less I care. I just want to sit down after 15 hour shifts, press a button and play.

    Am I the only one?

Raise them 1000% if you want. It’s not like they’re in stock to buy them anyway lol

But bro, Adin Ross promised us gamers Trump was awesome!

Stupid to hand the US tariff bullshit to everyone else than the US alone. The rest of the world pays more for a furious tariff policy.

Just a week or two ago I saw a guy make a mocking comment in response to Microsoft increasing the price of the Xbox. He said he was happily sipping his coffee watching console gaming burn.

Like price hikes on similar hardware parts weren’t going to spread elsewhere.

Would a long-term goal for Nvidia be to make gaming gpu prices high enough that streaming games is a cheaper option?

I remember a time a couple of years ago where companies justified price increases due to inflation. Now they do it “because tariffs”. They dont give a crap about the consumers, only about those quarterly gains and will use every excuse in the book to keep those graphs pointing north

It’s okay, I’ll just keep using my 1080ti…

Didn’t they come out like two months ago saying that they would not raise prices due to the tariff tax. Nvidia GPUs are already severely overpriced especially when they have all pretty much dropped down a tier from previous generations.

When I bought a $300 4060, you all laughed at me. Now you still laugh at me, just not as hard.

Another reason to go for AMD.

    Make a move, people.

  16. internetlad

I remember back around the GTS 8800 days thinking id never be able to spend $550 on a GPU lol

So what has been their excuse every other time? I’m tired of these corporations taking advantage of these economic situations.

So if the tariffs go away we can assume that they’ll DECREASE prices as well right? That’s the reason they’re going up? Oh that’s not how it works? Ok.

  18. The good news is don’t buy = eventually they’ll fall

  19. I guess I’ll be stuck on the ol 3060ti for quite some time.

Any component that’s costs more than a console is where I draw the line.

  20. Xelopheris

Companies that apply US tariff pricing worldwide can fuck right off and deserve to be ruined.

  21. “Sir, people are complaining we charge to much”

    “Make it cost even more”

  22. UnemployedMeatBag

So that’s like another +30% for europe just because
