I remember playing the demo for hours before it even came out. It became my favorite game for ten years. I can't believe it's coming up on 20 years since it released.
Then to find out Miyazaki was influenced by ICO to make games only underscores how monumental ICO & SotC are. No ICO, no Dark Souls, no Bloodborne, no Elden Ring.
Loved The Last Guardian too but it didn't seem to have the same impact as the first two. Maybe 11 years between titles was too long.
In any case, I can't wait for whatever Fumito Ueda does with Project Robot.
