No way it’s developed in house. Rockstar is all-hands-on-deck finishing GTA VI. If we do get it, it’s gonna be outsourced and filled to the brim with AI upscales.

It’s going to be as bad as the hd remaster. They’ll just steal mods and then issue take down requests for mods+ remove songs audio because of expired licenses. The only thing they can’t mess up is using a mobile port.
If they could just do mod support, kinda like what they do with GTA online, it would be good.

On one hand, I wish it to be more than the barebones remaster that was RDR1 especially after the magnificent Oblivion Remaster by Virtuos Studios came out. But then there is also the AI slop GTA Trilogy DE by Grove Street Games.

Rockstar really devoted a section of their team to remastering GTA 4 when they could be all in on GTA 6. Expect GTA 5 remastered to come out before GTA 6 at this rate.

I just finished playing GTA 4 on PC, wanted to revisit the game for some nostalgia. Whoever the fuck ported it into PC did a terrible job, I was on the last mission trying to get into the helicopter smashing the A button only to watch nicco fall over and over. Had to watch YouTube videos from 10 years ago explaining that my frame rate was breaking the game and I had to adjust like 6 settings to make it work. Redid that mission like 6 times
