Worst thing is, new Doom is the only new game I wanted to play since Cyberpunk. It is what it is, I guess

    **unironically** games are the best 2-3 years after the release one the final dlc comes out and then fan patches fixing bugs that devs didnt bother fixing come out

    So what I decided to do to play this on my 1080ti desktop or rog ally x was to just get gamepass ultimate so I can stream doom on day 1 without having to download a thing or deal with upgrading for 1 game. I have extremely good fiber, and gamepass streaming has been flawless even over my wifi. My desktop is wired directly to my fiber access point if needed though ^_^

    I got a hot personal thought to share: I got a used 3090 just mostly for AI usage, but that doesn’t mean in setting gaming and production aside!

    I have a 4070 and the only “new” games I play are usually shooters like ow2 & mr. Outside of those games, I generally like playing older games, just started playing bioshock 1 & wolfenstien the old blood a few weeks ago lol

    Get a used 2080 Ti like I did (though mine was more of a pity gift from an online friend who bough new cards each gen as a business expense). It’s a 1080 Ti with Ray Tracing and DLSS.

    It looks pixel-retro, but with modern RPG conveniences.

    I’m disappointed in this release 
    Doom used to run at 300 FPS on a damn potato 
    Reviews say that at 4K native with no DLSS or frame Gen It takes a 5090 to get 60 FPS average

    Idk, i still play medium graphics no ray tracing on my 3080. I honestly don’t see the joy in the ray tracing, my wife uses it along with ultra graphics and my dumbass eyes don’t see a big enough difference.

    Living in naturally low textured bliss i guess…

    Marvel rivals killed my 1080. Was running 300 fps on OW no issues.
