I’m happy that your grandma wasn’t the beast.

You might need to open it up or get a spec list at least for any useful advice

You’re grandma was pushing some frames back in the day.

Great case. I couldn’t find any concrete data, but from their advertisements it seems like Alienware started to use this Chieftec CS-601 case around 2001 and switched to the iconic alien inspired custom case in 2003. If the Athlon 64X2 sticker is real then the internals might not be Alienware OEM.

This is some early 64 bit compute power. I’d imagine you can run like ChromeOS or somesuch on it without any issues assuming the ram is close to 1gig or so

those are worth top dollar as they sit like that.

you can sell it and probably get a very nice modern PC or a super dank GPU for a modern PC.

What was written on the side at the front?

Please build a sleeper. This case is begging for a custom sleeper

Did your grandma have a video game addiction that she didn’t tell you about?

    In all seriousness, interesting find!

some will pay a lot to make a sleeper in it.

Put some threadripper and a couple of quadros in there real quick, and slap a custom loop on it.

Man, this episode of Ancient Aliens is wild

Fire it up and run Belarc software or a Ubuntu distro

Oh shit. This case was in my first PC build. Oh the memories.

Did this in this exact case for someone a few years ago. Absolute dream to build in and would kill to get one myself one day.

I got this case from Tiger Direct for $80 with a power supply back in the day. They had a pallet of these which I assumed Alienware sold the lot when they switched to that first redesign. It was a nice case and I wish I kept it

I used to have this Chieftec case a long time ago, but it was all metal. This one looks plastic.

I rebuilt mine throughout the years, past the Nvidia 20series I started to notice cooling issues. So it’s now my plex server.
