There is a lot of debate going around about who currently is the GOAT of Counter Strike. I just want to emphasize the fact that for over 3 and a half years Zywoo had NEVER played with a top 20 player. As a matter of fact, he is the ONLY player to EVER be ranked HLTV #1 without having another teammate on the top 20.
The first time it would ever happen was when Spinx was ranked #18 in 2022 after joining Vitality in August of that same year. Before that happened, he had been dragging a bunch of washed bums to tournament playoffs
A lot of people are starting to use the fact that Zywoo currently is in the most powerful roster in the world against him, but they completely forget that no player in history has hard carried as much as he has. Looking at this stat makes me wonder how Vitality even managed to keep him for so long.

I don’t think it’s fair to call all of his teammates “washed bums” just because they weren’t top 20. There are 100 players in the top 20 teams but only 1/5th make the list.
Shox was still really good in 2019 and 2020(made the unofficial #21 in 2020 iirc), Rpk was a really stable veteran and anchor, nivera most definitely would’ve made the list in 2020 if only he played more maps and apex was a selfless soldier in 2019 and one of the all time great IGLs afterwards.
The Chosen One. Won everything there is to win, both teams trophies and individuals awards. I think he can play this good well into his thirties because he relies more on intelligent positional play than pure mechanical prowess.
I even looked further into it, and he is the only player in the top 3 IN GENERAL to not have any top 20 teammates. Thats absurd to me

I feel like some people’s criticism comes from zywoo not necessarily being able to carry big game moments unless already on the winning side, which has clearly shifted recently (see the Melbourne comeback versus comeback against falcons) but before this it felt like zywoo was a merchant of all kinds except for when he needed to deliver in the biggest moment but it feels like he never did that in a big crowd when on the back foot, which might make him look unimpressive at some points
Even when simple lost you still got crazy shit happening like him trying to carry a game against ence which made for one of the best clips in CS history even when he didn’t win it lol
