At Evo Japan 2025, Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising producer Tetsuya Fukuhara took to the stage to share the newest information for their title.
Although we got a brief look at Galleon a few months ago, now the time has come to see her in her full action.
Galleon is one of the legendary dragon characters in Granblue and is described as “Earth personified”, which her moveset clearly shows with all of her focus on earth-based moves.
On stage, Galleon was described as a grappler character, though Fukuhara also noted that she was lighter and easier to move around than you may typically expect from grapplers who are often somewhat clunky.
Galleon is the second character of Season 2 for Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising following Sandalphon and will be followed later throughout the season by Wilnas, Meg and Ilsa.
It was also mentioned that there will be a new patch coming out with Galleon, though details on it remain sparse for now. It was explained that the ranked system will be receiving a rework to make it less intimidating for players who have ranked anxiety
