Just a quick question: does this actually work?

AFMF is AMDs framegen tech already, FSR only does upscaling.

What you may be referring to is people with Nvidia cards and an AMD APU using the APU to stack AFMF onto DLSS framegen to achieve more or less the same result.

Idk but I can try tonight. I’ll let you know.

  3. Now add lossless scaling framegen on top.

I tried Smooth motion with frame gen and got 12 fps in Ghost of Tsushima. One at a time works fine.

  5. A lot technically works but either looks shitty or has high input delay…

  6. ShadyMarlin_RT

It does work, but honestly the input lag from this is so bad if you’re not already holding a constant 100+ fps without any kind of frame gen. And obviously there’s no upside to doing this at all if you are already reaching your monitor’s Hz just from using FSR3 or 4 alone.

    PCMR: FAKE FRAMES NVIDIA!!
    Lossless scaling: OMG I CAN HAS 2 GPU’s !!

The difference is one of these is acceptable , and the other is dogshit.

I still dont get how fsr is so much worse than dlss , amd has more experience with gpu’s than intel , but still got beat out by xess

I’ve used cyberpunk in game frame gen and lossless scaling frame Gen using a second card and it works great.

In game frame Gen gets me from 65-70fps up to 90-110 FPS then LSFG gets it to 120 using adaptive FG and it stays locked at 120… It’s unbelievably smooth in terms of frametimes and pacing… And the input lag isn’t noticable, it’s the same as if I was just playing at 60, (60 FPS would actually be 16.6ms of latency and with this setup I only get 13.5ms of frametime latency) but the motion clarity is far greater.

It works but the end product is terrible.

I tried to run DLSS FG + LSFG + AFMF when I was experimenting with a dual GPU setup.

It was the stupidest idea ever, but I don’t regret trying it.

I don’t know what AFMF MEANS
So I am making it A Fucking Mother Fucker 😅.
Just a joke pls don’t threaten me

  13. CYCLONOUS_69

Add lossless scaling for some spice..

  14. KinkyFraggle

I tried this with Stalker2 when I first got my 9070xt, didn’t work; the game crashed

  15. What ever happened to just rendering frames as fast as possible? And fuck frame gen?

You don’t get input lag that way.

  16. DaSharkCraft

Yes, and while the input lag is bad, I could probably play a slower game as long as I memorized the timings of my attacks. I personally think the artifacting is much worse though. I’d rather use lossless scaling to get the same or better quality and performance.

  17. Guilty_Rooster_6708

MFG will have much better input lag than FSR frame gen + AFMF and also look better than Lossless Scaling. Lossless scaling is so good for portable devices like the Legion Go and Ally though

  18. The_Humbergler

But the AMD isn’t on fire in this

  19. firedrakes

how about we stop fake frames and constant amount of upscaling in games since 360 era?

  20. Ayden_Linden

FSR is not “frame generation” or “fake frames” its literally just upscaling. People BADLY need to learn the difference between the two

  21. Mandoart-Studios

My 6700XT still rendering 1440P native on high: pathetic

  22. ChrisFhey

I did something similar with FSR frame generation and Lossless Scaling frame generations. It works and gives me a pretty respectable framerate, but the latency penalty is rather high and I wouldn’t say it’s very enjoyable.

Still, it takes some getting used to the latency, but it’s better than the native 30 FPS I got before.

  23. Improvisable

Personally I’d not use any of that

Very excited for „As Fuck MotherFucker” 🤞😁🤞
