We’re still a bit less than a month away from Elena’s release in Street Fighter 6, but some lucky players can get their hands on the new character early at Evo Japan 2025.
Street Fighter 6 Director Takayuki Nakayama just shared some new footage of Elena on the character select screen from the ground floor of Evo Japan.
As one could expect, Elena is quite peppy and full of groove on the character select screen, as she’s always ready to show off her dance moves.
She is seen playing a berimbau when she’s hovered over, which is a Brazilian instrument, and while Elena herself is from Kenya, her capoeira fighting style is from the country.
Eddy Gordo plays the same instrument in Tekken 8 as well.
Once she’s chosen, Elena puts the berimbau down and shakes it all off as she prepares for battle.
The final DLC character of Season 2 is slated to hit the game on June 5, which is the same day as the big Season 3 update and the release of Street Fighter 6’s Nintendo Switch 2 version.
