Hot take, I have no sympathy for Palworld. The game was fun but it was unapologetically trying to riff off pokemon with its designs and theme.

I bought Palworld because I thought there was more Pokemon things… But it’s more of a Ni no Kuni Fortnited than anything else…
Next time they should do their own thing and not try to copy things patented by other companies…

I love that when this game first released everyone laughed at how blatantly they were ripping off certain aspects and designs from Pokemon. But since this started happening everyone is all *Shocked Sparkit Face*

None of those would have happened if they didn’t put color swapped pokemon models in their game. E.g. Hundreds of other monster taming games that weren’t sued by nintendo.

Nintendo/The Pokemon Company wouldn’t have to worry about competition if they actually showed their IP some love.
They’ve been milking a stagnant cash cow for over a decade and would rather shut down competition instead of listening to their fans and making a better product.
I don’t get why people are getting so pissy about Nintendo going after them when palworld is the most blatant temu rip off of a game I’ve ever seen. Doesn’t matter if they did somethings better than Nintendo has, it’s known to basically everyone as “pokemon with guns” for a reason
They will soon get some major help. The next game from the Genshin Corp will be a creature collector. It won´t be hard for a mobile game to blow every Pokemon game out of the water. I hope this will lead to more studios doing something in this genre.

They’re such fucking pieces of shit. Sitting on the goldmine that is Pokémon, but they just push out low effort low quality garbage, that people still eat up. I think you’re actually morally obligated to pirate Nintendo games when possible instead of buying. Trademarking/copyrighting such game mechanics is so fucking scummy. Hopefully Palworld takes this chance to come up with creative methods to glide/summon.
