I have the same "Dominated" medal and then some. I did more in both kills and pure damage. Neither of us did any recalls or rescues in this match. Technically I did survive longer – but wasn't able to rescue the teammate who fell first. And it was still not enough.
Yeah, it's more than just kills. Yeah, it doesn't matter all that much anyway. But in cases like this it does sting a little 🙁

They probably healed more, traveled farther, got the longest-range kills, or used their utilities better—like smokes and grenades. I think the system just leans toward whoever had more impact overall. PUBG wants to encourage team-based gameplay. A support player or in-game leader making good decisions can be recognised even if they don’t rack up flashy stats.
