With these numbers, you really wonder why Nintendo isn’t investing more into another sequel to Animal Crossing. People have been asking for it for a while now, it seems like the most obvious choice, along with the Switch 2, to release a new title.

I know GTAV is older than 10 years, but in the first 10 years it sold around 180 million copies. So, just counting the last 10 years, GTA easily outsold those titles.
Around 210 in total lifetime. That’s insane.
Not to put the other titles down, it’s still impressive numbers. I just sometimes forget how huge the GTA franchise is

And two COD games. COD is unstoppable.

Although we don’t have a solid source as of now, I wouldn’t be surprised if Blops 6 sold more than 50 mil. We do know that MW3 and Blops 3 launch alone accounted for ~80 mil.

It’s impressive for CP2077 because it’s both an original game IP and doesn’t borrow much from a predecessor.
Elden Ring is also original IP, but it’s sort of built up heavily from several previous Souls games.
