Hmmmm about the same length I would say but if you include the question marks in skellige , witcher 3 is longer.
Have to say that it’s easier for me to get lost in the world of Cyberpunk rather than witcher.
DietAccomplished4745
The bare bones main story is significantly shorter since a lot of things that would be main quest material in tw3 got marked as sidequests. It’s also a significantly faster game and depending on build or skill you could do everything in the base game in like 60 to 70 hours, though a 100 is more likely your first time through.
It is a much more replayable game. Playing with a different build is going to feel very different compared to what you did previously. It also has four final acts and four epilogues compared to tw3 having a single final mission and three epilogues
TheDemonHunter69420
Imo witcher is way longer than cyberpunk like its not even a competition (comparing by main story and excluding side missions)
QuorthonSeth
It depends. In my case, I finished Witcher with its DLCs once and I did not have any urge to go back there and replay it. It was a great game with a beautiful world and storytelling.
Cyberpunk on the other hand… I finished it at least 8 times and I am in progress with another 2 playthroughs. So if I were to choose, I wouldn’t need any other Witcher sequels, especially without Geralt as the main character. Just give me a new single player Cyberpunk game.
Decent_Historian42
Id say cyberpunk is shorter. You can do one questline in one sitting and it not be terrible for you and your time. The witcher on the other hand i wouldn’t recommend doing an entire questline in one sitting honestly burns you out quickly.

Witcher has a lot longer main story. And more splitting. Side quests are connected, but not that much.
Cyberpunk has quite short main story with a lot of cutscenes and missions are big but few. But the main sell point are sidequests which are connected to main story. You don’t have to do them, so your playthrough would be maybe like 20-25 hours? – if you’re in hurry of course, yet you lose a lot of possibilities and lore. With side quests, gigs and possible cleaning all the map it can get up to 150 hours.
Chmigdalator
The first complete palythrough in w3 was 300 hours or more because I went everywhere on horseback. Even if I play a new playthrough after 3500 hours, it’s gonna be on horseback, and it’s gonna be 250 hours because I go everywhere on the maps.
Cyberpunk is 100 hours the first time around, and I guess it will crumble to 100 with Phantom Liberty in the next playthroughs and knowing where to find what.
So, you can’t compare 2077 in terms of length. W3 is massive.
sigjnf
Depending on the ending, the main story can be about 20 hours, but it also can be about 5. Same goes for the DLC. If you count the side missions as well, you’re in for a couple hundreds hours of fun!
Jericho-X
I just completed c2077. I did everything in about 70 hours.
sanraymond
When finished my 1st Witcher 3 run w/dlc my steam play time is 260h, and game save 179h. When finished Cyberpunk 1st run without Phantom Liberty, my steam showed 149h, not sure about gave save time but probably less cause it was harder to reload and get taste of different path in many times.
F4ZMyth
Well both games share the same incredible Projekt Red story telling but in terms of just main story and ONLY main missions, witcher is probably 2-3ish times longer than cyberpunk but since youre a first timer and if you like doing everything it can be really long. my first playthrough was around 230 hours
Own_Highlight2526
I’m getting close to having completed Cyberpunk and Phantom Liberty to completion. Just knocking out side gigs and quest at this point. The last few games I played and enjoyed were This, Hogwarts Legacy, Jedi Survivor. Anyone have any other recommendations for games like this? I
hellomydudes_95
Cyberpunk feels like it’s a third of the length of The Witcher 3. I replayed Cyberpunk like 5 times and I still haven’t finished Witcher 3. Granted, I dropped the game several times.
guitardude_324
Witcher and its 2 expansions is roughly 120 hours if you want to hunt all the question marks on the map, clear your quest log.
2077 is roughly 90 hours with its expansions and with all side quests and most NCPD Hustles cleared.
TheIronBankofBravos
Much longer. More depth. More choices. Bigger map so More travel time.
AnoAnoSaPwet
The Witcher 3 is very fun if you like melee combat. That was a very fun Platinum on PS4 for me.
There is so much dialogue in that game, I recommend just watching it like a movie. It’s very well made like Cyberpunk.
rosyrosella
Cyberpunk is quite short in story missions :c makes me sad
LeviMarx
One is the last couple weeks of a dying mercs journey into the underworld in hopes of saving their soul, making every deal with the devil along the way.
The other is finding your runaway stepchild who is being chased down by cosplaying bitches before mounting a homealone style defense with the lads.
Sasya_neko
In the overall game cyberpunk is much longer, there’s simply more to discover.
laylarei_1
Depends on you, I guess. I found the witcher side quests to be super boring and speedran (120h) though the main story + DLC. With Cyberpunk (150h, just started ng+), I’m playing a new game + and looking for any new shit, item, hidden quest I can find.
OkAccountant7442
cyberpunks main story is very surprisingly short. probably like half as long as witcher 3s
ProhibidoTransito
Apples and oranges. Can we stop all this “how is this thing like this other thing”
Horror_Cheesecake276
I’ve completed the base game of cyberpunk in 60 hours. So do with that what you will. I’m not to the Witcher 3 yet
3_minutes_ago
Cyberpunk2077 is between 20 and 600 hours long
T_Dillerson99
Cyberpunk can be a surprisingly short game depending on how much side stuff you decide to do. The main story isn’t that long at all for an RPG. The side stuff can about double the length of the game, especially if you include phantom liberty which is an extra like 15 hours.
HussingtonHat
Cyberpunk is actually kinda baffling short tbh.
Acalthu
Cyberpunk is a solid 180 hour game with the DLC and playing at least 50% of the major side quests.
Drillingham
2077 takes me about 80 hours to 100%, if you just do the main story it can easily be done in 15hrs or less
Plane-Education4750
That really depends on how you play. The main quest in 2077 is really not that long if you mainline it and don’t do any side quests. BUT, if you do the side quests you can easily get well over 200 hours on a single playthrough, especially if you have PL
I’ve just finished Cyberpunk last weekend for the first time and the GoG timer was at 171 hours. For W3 it was around 140h. For both of the games I did all of the available main, secondary and DLC quests. I think, it’s quite comparable.
dakokonutman3888
Too short.

If you play either one of them very thoroughly (95-100%), including the DLC(s). I’d say their similar in duration 130-180 hours per playthrough. TW3 may be a little longer because it has 2 DLCs.
GrimmaLynx
Main story of the witcher 3 is around 2-3x as long as cyberpunks. When you factor in sidequests, witcher contracts, and the two expansions, a full playthrough of the witcher can easily break the 200 hour mark. Flipside, never had a cyberpunk playthrough last more than 60
Knighting__
In my experience, a Cyberpunk run can get up to 70 hours
SockedBun
Honestly depends on the player. I like doing all the little sidequests and stuff so for my first Witcher 3 playthrough I clocked in around 260 hours, including a lot of wandering about.
By comparison, with Cyberpunk my first playthrough was 126 hours. However, imp Cyberpunk is A LOT more replayable because of all the different builds you can have. I am in my third playthrough right now, around the 90h mark and I have all of Phantom Liberty to do and I just started Act 3.
