Sony has released the top downloaded games on PlayStation Network of April 2025 in North America and EU. The results for the month might sound surprising, as Microsoft games dominate the top spots on the PSN charts.
On PS5, Microsoft claims the top three download spots across North America and the EU with the Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, Minecraft, and Forza Horizon 5. This top 20 download list also, less surprisingly, includes Microsoft’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Other PS5 chart toppers for April include the recent releases of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Split Fiction, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
On the PS4, Red Dead Redemption 2 ranked at the top for both North America and the EU. Another top download for PS4 is Hazelight’s A Way Out from 2018, which might be finding success across both regions due to the studio’s success of Split Fiction in March.
For the PS VR2 games, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate dominated the charts across the board.
The free-to-play category is dominated by the battle royale juggernauts Fortnite and Call of Duty: Warzone, holding the top two spots across both regions.
So far, the best-selling games of 2025 include recent releases such as Monster Hunter: Wilds, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
