“500 Credits a piece” for a PC heatsink. I’m sure some of you out there can identify which heatsink this is

I LOVE seeing random computer parts in movies. NOT A SPOILER in the new thunderbolts movie there’s a panel they go to turn off and one of the parts is just an Intel stock heatsync

Given that they separated the cold plate from the heat pipes, and there are only two heat pipes, I’m guessing it was an AliExpress special.

500 credits for a single heatsink..the future of gaming looks dark..

Looks like a small radiator or something industrial because the fins are so far apart. It’s hard to see but it looks like the heat pipes are actually just regular pipes for running coolant through.

In season 1 of *Andor*, episode 3 — take a close look at the lighting inside the spaceship.

I own that one funny enough, it’s a cheap cooler master, it has severed me well for years tho!

    I think that’s a Cooler Master T2 cooler, but I can’t quite say

With the weird steps in the side and the hole in the middle, I suspect this is a purpose-built industrial heatsink, not an off the shelf PC part.

Star wars lives repurposing random junk for their props. Iirc Luke’s lightsaber was a camera flash? Lots of stuff like this. I think it’s quite charming, especially how well they play it off (most of the time).
