Hi everyone! I just wanted to show off a build I’m starting that’s F1 themed, it’s going to be an all AMD build with a wind tunnel at the bottom of the case! The wind tunnel has a fog machine in the front and I’m using the case’s bottom exhaust fan to pull it through the tunnel.
It’s been a pretty long time since I’ve done a build (like 12 years) so any suggestions are appreciated 🙂
I have a Radeon 9070 XT and a 9950X3D on the way!
A few questions to the public:
– is anyone interested in following the build? I can probably keep this as a build thread or something, or start some build videos
– Any hard line cooling suggestions?
– Is there a good way to do the LED strip lighting inside without breaking the bank?
– the case was originally meant for a bottom-up air flow, I’ll have to modify it to a front-back flow, does this make sense? Do I need higher pressure air in the case or should it be more like the fans sucking air out of the back?

What kind of smoke is this? Seems unhealthy with the filter (?) going all dark in that area

As a person who helped construct a wind tunnel, I now absolutely need this in my build

cool idea but ditch the fog – put little pieces of floss or string on the car instead and let that show the wind
This looks like a great start! I had a look into one of those model wind tunnels but the vapour cartridges wouldn’t last very long and would have to be replaced regularly if you had the tunnel on at all times when the pc was on.
How are you getting around this? Or are you just not using the vapour often or replacing regularly?
Might have to send Adrian Newey your pc when you’re done with it!

Could you do this with aircraft? I’d love to see different warbirds in the tunnel. Especially my beloved Bf 109’s and Fw 190’s.

I always wonder what Haas was using for a wind tunnel.
Does it also sound like an F1 car up close? XD But for real it looks very cool.
You might want to put some frosted plastic panel infront of the LEDs, lighting might look more smooth
As an MV1 fan, I think this is certified cool.

Rumor has it that you can 100% reproduce the engine sound by turning on your vacuum next to it.
