it happened to me when i accidentally drop some coke over it, and then some milk, and then crumbs….i usually eat over my keyboard
It needs cleaning or the oil you used to line it has dried and now it’s sticky. Take it apart, clean everything, relube if needed, then put everything back together again and you should be fine.
Moisture and dust. Good cleaning will fix it.

I used to spill beer on my keyboard fairly regularly when i was a heavy drinker so i got a waterproof keyboard so i could hose it down when i had some spillage… beer.
Basic keyboards, which this appears to be are 10-20 bucks. Replace it.
