Probably, the development resources would have been distributed to MP and Zombies instead of MP, Zombies and Warzone

In terms of marketing, it’s possible they would have shifted gears to push what they felt was the more engaging mode. In terms of actual game development and content, I don’t know. Correct me if I’m wrong but I thought it was primarily Raven and Beenox that were responsible for Warzone and they have no involvement with Treyarch doing Zombies? So if Warzone did flop with the return of Verdansk the powers that be might have just chosen to fire some folks in those studios while expecting more from the same amount of devs at Treyarch.

Bo6 is so peak I freaking love it, it outclasses all but bo3 and only one ups Cold War because it’s the sequel, I don’t want it any different, after Cold War and bo6, old zombies just hasn’t been hitting the same. I’m sure I’ll go back again I always do but DAMN I’m happy with this game
I think the whole franchise would’ve been 10 times better without the Warzone ties, they honestly should’ve just let Warzone die.
Would cod be as big as it is now without warzone is the question? Popularity from declined every year after bo2 and seemed to only really get a jump in bo3, and then again with MW2019 and warzone.
All the focus om Warzone wouldve gone to MP, which is the bigger cash cow between MP and Zombie. The only way Zombies get “more” better treatment is if somehow Zombies generate more money than MP.

probably but tbh I don’t think they’re neglecting zombies by any means. we’ve got three extra maps, more gobblegums, some perks, and zombies themed bundles.

While yes but that doesn’t mean Black Ops 6 got the “short end of the stick”.
Overall package wise, BO6 is a pretty solid offering on its own.
It feels like all 3 modes got a decent amount of effort and care but it’s not a perfect game. Maybe the better one out of most.
I’d say zombies would’ve been 10% better.
I’d out BO6 zombies as third place behind BO3 and Cold War zombies.
The warzone style for zombies made me hate the game
Raven develops Warzone 2. Zombies sucks now because of design choices, not a lack of resources.
I heard somewhere that war zone was their biggest money maker. It’s a completely different gamer that likes zombies most of the time
