Kagaribi #13 is happening this weekend in Saitama, Japan, and while Japan has had many big tournaments for Super Smash Bros. this one is on a whole different level.
Big players attending include Zeta|Acola, Fennel|Miya, LG|Sonix, FaZe|Sparg0, Zomba, DTL|Syrup, RC|Shuton, Moist|Light, A310|Doramigi, MSE|Onin, LG|MkLeo, LG|Tweek, SOL|Raru, Solary|Glutonny, SZ|Asimo, LG|Maister, DFM|Zackray, Wrath, iXA|Yaura, Carmelo, Yoshidora, Zeta|Tea, SBI|KEN, TamaPDaifuku, TW|Snow, Neo, Ouch!?, Waka, Lima, Moist|Kola, Akakikusu, Sisqui, though there are many, many more on top of that.
This is a beyond massive Super Smash Bros. Ultimate event, to the tune of 3,353 signed up entrants.
With not only many of the world’s absolute best players traveling to Japan to attend the event, it’s also situated in one of the strongest regions for the game from which a lot of players rarely get to travel out of country, so there’s going to be lots of local talent showcased as well which gives you a great reason to check it out.
The timetable for the event is a bit strange since it coincides with the Japanese holiday Golden Week and will be running specifically on Sunday and Monday, but given that Japan’s time zone is ahead of most areas the finals might still be on Sunday for your local time, so make sure to consult the event schedule.
Streaming is being done at East Geek Smash and VG Boot Camp.
