Currently, Gamescom Latam is happening in São Paulo, Brazil and it’s not just a gaming convention — it has a big Mortal Kombat 1 tournament attached to it as well.
Notable players participating include T7G|Scorpionprocs, T7G|Nicolas, SonicFox, Grr, FSN|Zeeus, MKJavierMK, DK|KillerXinok, SHD|GuiExceptional, DG|KingGamble, DG|WizeGemini, Lavender Rain, 2G|SnakeDoe and more.
This is specifically a tournament for Mortal Kombat 1, though it has a lot of value attached to it seeing as it is a Demi God Tier tournament on the Mortal Kombat Pro Kompetition circuit, meaning that those who place well at the event will earn a massive amount of points on the circuit leaderboard.
Over 140 players have shown up to compete so get ready for some proper action these next two days.
While most tournaments go on across the weekend, this one will actually run specifically on Friday and Saturday, so make sure you’re locked in to catch the finals and see the winner be crowned on Saturday evening.
