I’m too lazy to run the numbers but I wonder how many of these trains are chosen cause a lower ranked team is trying to throw another off their game. I wonder the percentage of picks VS just banning other maps and ending with train

I play teain in my faceit games, problem is no one knows how to play it, another one, personal, is that I have 30 fps max on this map

I would love it if they spend some time optimising the map tho..

it’s a fight between inferno and train to be my least favorite maps as a solo queue player, can’t stand either

Train wasn’t helped by the fact that it replaced Vertigo, which was a permaban (or close to it) for many teams. The easiest thing is to just carry on with the maps you practice and don’t bother with the new one.
Having said that, there was a small debate about Vitality and Train, whether they are not that good and have limited playbook or is it just that the map doesn’t allow for much more. The latter statement was supported by apEX, saying iirc that they can’t play it too often for that reason.
I think Valve monitors how the map is played and perceived and will intervene (i.e implement changes to the map) when they find it necessary. Whether the changer will be good is another question.

Breaking: teams don’t want to play the new map they have the least training on and lack of information on opponent’s strategies. More news at 5.

What even is the discussion? It’s a new map and like always it takes time to reach popularity, because it is new and a risky pick.

At this rate, in 10 years time every single map of professional CS will be on Train. We need to stop this trend now before it gets out of control!

It’s just difficult when the map is new. They tweak all the little things, and those usually break lineups. So it’s quicksand in a way.
I think people do enjoy the map. It’s just going to take some time.

This is just the logical step for pro play. Its in the pool so you have a competitive advantage if you can play it to swing the veto in your favour or beat teams that didn’t prepare as much for train.
It has nothing to do with how good or fun the map is.

As much as I don’t enjoy playing Train atm, it is still leagues above D2 as a map

This isn’t surprising. Also, there were teams with a Vertigo Perma who made the obvious choice to keep whatever replaced it in the map pool as their ban.

I mean if teams don’t play it againts team that try it and pick it they lose, then you get a situation that they HAVE to practice it and play it and the cycle expands to other teams etc etc.
