I’m excited, but I feel like it’d have to be a full blown remake. The pixel art of Trigger is so strong, it can’t just be a 3d skin.
Highly likely a big remake considering how important Trigger is and well known the game’s gotten. Lot of people that haven’t played it as well from the newer generation

Just beat the SNES version for the first time last week! I get the hype behind the game. An RPG ahead of its time. Does a lot right where a lot of similar games that came out at the same time or right after missed on. Would be excited to see a remake with modern graphics!

It’s great as it is. All versions (yes, even PS1!) are great on their own. Music is godlike, graphics and graphical design are stellar, story is top tier.

It’s kinda sad that Chrono Resurrection the fan-remake of Chrono Trigger, never saw the light.
Headline is a little misleading imo. It makes it sound like it’s 100% confirmed but the article mentions it’s kind of just a rumor at the moment. It sounds like there *might* have been a slip but the source is Reddit users which I don’t think is very reliable. would be nice to see them officially announce it.
“The father of Dragon Quest and Chrono Trigger let this information slip during an interview. -The host whispered something in his ear, and he covered his mouth. The audience went crazy” but nobody knows what was whispered or it’s not stated at least.
