It’s on all consoles and PC via Steam.
It kinda flew under the radar last year, at least from the mainstream media outlets, so I wanted to help get its name out there. Just a word of warning, it’s a tough as nails Sekiro-like game with parry based combat that will require you to lock in and git gud, but there is a story mode you can use to customize the difficulty of the experience to your liking.
The story is extremely captivating, with a heartfelt emotional story that starts out with something relatively standard, but as you continue to explore the world and advance the story, it evolves into a heart wrenching, morally ambiguous, and Taoist experience that will stick with you for a long time.
The bosses will give you that same sense of satisfaction from conquering bosses in other souls like games like the aforementioned Sekiro, but also Dark Souls or Bloodborne.
The characters are all likable and you WILL spend a lot of time with them. There is a ton of dialogue and reading in this game, in fact it puts all of the stuff I just mentioned at the forefront of the experience. The dialogue is well written all around so I never had a problem with it personally.
The game sacrifices slightly in areas like exploration in order to deliver on its strength, giving a mostly linear, story driven, dialogue heavy experience with fantastic bosses. If it sounds like your cup of tea, I strongly recommend giving it a shot. It’s also on Xbox Game Pass!

On gamepass! Count me in 💪
From your post history, you either *really* dig this game, or you’re somehow involved with it and are advertising the shit out of it in any sub you can.
Really good, but way hard.
There’s an Amogus in the title
What if I have heard of it?
Nine Sols rules.
It’s option to let you tune difficulty dynamically as you need is a great feature as well
Fantastic game.
Really weird subreddit full of furry fantasies.
I played it on my Ally while “camping” last year. Seemed pretty fun. I couldn’t really get into it tho. I did love the look of it and the way the combat flowed!
Had to tone down the difficulty for the final boss. But it’s a really great game tho, it’s just that I wanted the game to be done with , i wasn’t in the mood of mastering the boss. A lot of bosses easily took me a few hours to beat
Thanks random reddit user
Too many games. I’ll pick it up after silksong this year.
Final boss is a complete asshole though. Like gotta be one of the hardest bosses ever made
I enjoyed this game and killed about 3 or 4 bosses, but I got lost so often that it made me lose interest in it. Just gimme an arrow, man. I don’t have any navigational skills.
If you really want to play silk song that game for you
Couldn’t get into it
I still hate that logo.
Apparently it’s just called “Nine Sols” and that stuff above it is some kind of symbol. But it makes it look like the game is called “No Nine Sols” or “To Nine Sols”
I tried a few times to get into it but it didn’t stick with me. I’ll try again soon
Have you played Children of Morta ?
Does the story compare in brilliance?
A damn masterpiece. It was my personal GOTY bar none and would be my game of the decade if Elden Ring didn’t exist.
Great story I almost cried at the end (true ending)
Eh it’s mid. You clearly work on this game and are Astroturfing the shit out of it. Super deceptive and gross.
Yea this was one of the best games last year. Im very surprised it didn’t get closer to the success of hollow knight.
I really liked it. But I ran out of steam at the final boss. That dude is such a difficulty spike, and it is so long. I really couldn’t bring myself to grinding that guy.
It’s on my list!
What should I play it on? I have a PC with keyboard or PS4 controller or switch
10/10 game for deflection combat junkies, 11/10 if you are also a furry. r/ninesols is an uncomfortably horny subreddit.
Played it on gamepass last month. Stunning, incredible. Solid story, solid visuals, solid combat system. If you like Metroidvanias and tough combat it’s the perfect game.
Everyone should check this game out. It’ll tear out your heart, stomp on it, set it on fire, and then put you in a state where you are forced to watch your heart turn to ashes for 500 years.
Then. Only then. Will it present you with hope and joy in the form of “can be gifted to Shuanshuan.”
Many people were turned off by its difficulty after several content creators harped on how hard it is. While this is true it also has tons of accessibility options so practically anyone can experience the story. It’s a fantastic game
I loved it and played it all the way up until the final boss, and then haven’t touched it since. Just got no desire to spend hours on a single boss.
Can I interest you in Dead Cells?
