If you had 1080 Ti in 2016 you had to be time traveler as 1080 Ti was released in 2017.

I had that MSI 1080Ti, beast of a card.

The R9 390 turns 10 in less than 2 months.
We’ve had 8GB GPUs below 350$ for 10 years.

There hasn’t been a game released in the last two decades to justify upgrading.
Playing the same games at 200fps or 60fps really doesn’t matter to me.
I’m getting old (and poor), it’s getting more difficult to steal my money.
Try harder, hardware companies.
(edit: maybe try cutting your entire marketing department and rely on making good products. Then use that x% of your budget to reduce your prices instead of spreading ~~lies~~ “marketing”.)

9 years ago, $699 would get you 11gb of vram, today, $700 would get you 12gb of vram (5070).

My GTX 1650 has started to show its age. Last game I played was Horizon Forbidden West at low settings.

Kind of crazy we’ve had 4 generations since the GTX 1080 Ti and it’s still holding its own. Better than an RTX 5060 8GB…
Flip it around and get 2025.
2015-2020 live service games hold Nvidia Pascal equivalent graphic cards.
