Well, both of them are right. Lighting is up to artistic taste and lumen is pretty damn good, but it also has many faults. Color palette dramatically changes a game. Look at Days Gone Remaster on PS5 Pro, for whatever reason they blue shifted the game from its original neutral to “earthy” palette. It looks off to anyone that’s played the original.

I’m guessing the second person is referring to the lighting’s colors being way more brown than the original, which is a common complaint.

The whole “brown” complaint is really dumb to me.
Ignoring the fact that oblivion originally had an intense green filter over everything, the remaster doesn’t actually have a brown filter at all.
People just keep going “BROWN” when they leave the tutorial because it’s sunrise usually when you first get outside.
The rest of the game doesn’t look like that unless it’s that specific time of day when the sun is low in the grassy areas.

The lighting in Indiana Jones looks better imo

Folks what are the chances to get Morrowind with few gameplay updates and graphics overhaul like for Oblivion? Granted Fallout3 probably comes next, but that would be sick and should sell exceptionally well.

my only complaint about the graphics is the brotherhood door, such a downgrade

I have noticed a lot of phantom light sources in oblivion remaster. Running through the forest at night, look down a hill and you’ll see the invisible spotlights from the unreal engine that they add when an area is too dark.

This is why game developers can’t really win😂
