> Borderlands 4’s release date has changed. Now, the sequel will launch on September 12, 2025, moving forward two weeks from its initial release date.
> This was just annoucned by Randy Pitchford himself. In a short message to fans, he says that development is going very well, allowing the team to push the game forward by two weeks, making it a rare example of a release date changing and it not being because of a delay.

I think it’s to avoid Ghost of Yotei especially if they’re expecting most of their sales to come from PlayStation
Byzon1
I think we’re gonna see more of these moves as the second half of the year takes more concrete shape.
I’m guessing this might be in response to Ghost of Yotei?
You can just see everyone being terrified of their game being released anywhere near GTA VI.

GTA6 – October Confirmed

Huh, I’m used to seeing games delayed, not pushed forward. What could be the rationale besides trying to get ahead of another game’s launch date?
Alive-Ad-5245
This means GTA 6 is releasing this year likely in October/November
Uchihagod53
I really hope it’s got a good story this time
looking4strange04
Hopefully its as good as borderlands 2
BusinessOwner199X
If they need to let it cook, let it cook some more.
LeadedGasolineGood4U
I’m not giving that creep Randy Pitchford another dollar.

Guess they couldn’t wait anymore for gta
mrsunshine1
These games still have some of the best gunplay available in gaming
ShadowRiku667
Wait, they announced a fourth Borderlands? I had no idea it was even slated for this year.
Voidfang_Investments
So gta must be October

Take Two knows the real launch window of their own games so don’t get your hopes up.
This is probably to avoid Ghost of Yotei and Marathon.
GTA VI is the most expensive game ever made, it will have a marketing campaign starting at one point IF it releases this year. This is not oblivion with a Unreal Engine wrapper, they won’t shadow drop it imo, you take no risks with investments at that level

Borderlands 3 wasn’t that good, the movie was bad – so I feel this is the last chance for the franchise.
ashriekfromspace
Kinda surprised games are releasing this year this late knowing gta6 is nearby

A day 1 buy for me. Games are always worth the price tag for gunplay alone. Assuming they don’t try to reinvent the wheel
Neil_Salmon
Eh, I’ll wait for the movie.

Gunplay and gore was great, I missed enemies with a weakspot though. The hyperion robots filled that void in BL2 for me. Jack was a great villain, the new guy will be more like Thor 2 Dark Elf I think.

Remember, no pre orders. Wait a day or two.
Don’t worry.
The Siren is not Ava.
