This is one of my top 5 favorite RPGs from back in the day. Was thinking about it recently and googled it and found out they remastered it and it's bundled with the sequel!!
Was going to tackle oblivion after Id sated my my wilds grind but I'm putting everything on hold to revisit these absolute gems.

I wanted the Working Designs releases so badly back in the day, but there was no way I could convince my parents to mail order expensive games they’d never heard of out of an add in Gamepro.
I’m really looking forward to picking up Remastered Collection.

I love these games and Arc the Lad! I really want these remasters but I can’t afford them yet. Definitely picking them up one day.
Almost done with Lunar 1, just waiting on my sister to finish it so we can move on to 2.

let me tell ya my history with this game:
– Got a PSP as a xmas gift. this was one of those games that the person im sure randomly saw on the shelf and bought it.
– I remember playing it, enjoying it, and never finishing it.
– I got stuck during a scene where a town is having trouble and I could not beat the enemies.

I played the original on my SEGA-CD not long after it came out. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Never got to play the sequel though, as the one time I actually saw a copy in the wild, someone had tried trading it in to an EB.
I was walking toward that EB in the parking lot, when this woman came out with a box of games that she tried to trade in. She had Lunar: Eternal Blue, Popful Mail and a number of other SEGA-CD games, all complete. She didn’t like the offer EB had given her, so she took the box of games and left. I saw her and commented about her buying some games, and she explained it was the opposite. I asked if I could see what she tried to trade in, and she showed me. I looked through what was there and offered her $40 for L:EB (the store didn’t offer half that). She mulled it over, decided to not take it so that she could wait to see if someone would give her more.
This was many years ago, long before SEGA-CDs became retro gaming gold for people. But yeah, that’s the closest I came to the owning second game on the ol’ SEGA-CD.
I still have my original Lunar Silver Star Story collectors edition for the PS1. I bought it at walmart new
I still own Lunar for the Sega CD. One of my top favorite RPGs. I just wish we got more. Same for Lufia too.
Holy crap, that’s a fun surprise! I loved Silver Star Story when I was much younger and had completely forgotten about it.
It’s great! Some nice quality of life changes but nothing too invasive. My boy Cy Yu voices my favorite character in the first game. So yeah if ye like lunar psx, git it!

Got so into this collection I’d import them from Japan. Local game shop would place orders to import games several times a month.
The guy who bought the shop used to be a salesman for the Chevy dealership here. He started as a customer and put everything he had into buying the shop and growing it. I miss those early days.
Huge love for Lunar, which never got its due back in the Sega-CD era. I didn’t like the re-made music and voices on the other consoles though.. so I am not super excited for this PS-version remaster.
I had the lunar silver star story special box set. With the pendant and everything. Was awesome.
