AMD’s business model is shooting for best price/performace. It has been this way for some time. A long time.
As long as they do that I will be a loyal customer. Especially since I swapped from team blue/green.

Corporations have entire divisions dedicated to deceiving you.
It’s called *marketing*, and it’s a shockingly huge part of their budget.

No Corporations are your friends but there are Corporations that lean towards Pro-Consumer practices and Corporations that lean into Anti Consumer Practices and neither modus operandi is adopted for the sake of a individuals morals (this can of course be a contributing factor in some cases I’m sure) but because it is believed that the chosen method will earn the most money, hands down. This is a important distinction to make as once people understand that there can be a difference in how Corporations treat there customers then they can start to vote with there wallet based off of said practices and influence how Corporations treat there customers moving forward.
Good examples of Pro-Consumer Practices are grocery stores writing the price per 100g’s (or whatever makes sense for said type of product) on the price tag of all the products in the store so shoppers can easily identify the best deal.
Whereas a equivalent Anti Consumer Practice would be a grocery store having a 500g and 2500g version of a product on the shelf and the 2500g version being on sale while the 500g version is not. They know most consumers will not do the math and will assume the larger quantity on sale will be cheaper, it is often not and if the store doesn’t list ‘price per 100g’ on the price tags consumers may not realize they are paying more per 100g’s.

They only want your money, good PR is optional.
In that same way, you should only want good value for your money.
