Nobody told you that.
Everyone here would have said the same thing: Older GPUs won’t be getting any cheaper to make and won’t go down in price, they’ll just go out of stock.

Saw this coming, bought my new rig shortly before Xmas and was called crazy.
Have been basking in glory for a couple months now, gotta admit making fun of some idiot friends is priceless.

Even 3090 has gotten more expensive ( at least in Spain).
I bought mine for 550€ in September and prices are between 700-850€
( Founders Edition I mean)

I came to the realization that GPUs will never get cheaper and grabbed a 9070XT the second I could get my hands on one. Which was 1 hour after the released in Canada haha

I’m certain that any light forum browsing (e.g. Reddit) would tell you, overwhelmingly, that prices would not go down.
