To be fair, it doesn’t really work on revolvers irl. With a few exceptions
A silencer makes no sense on a revolver because there is a gap between the cylinder and barrel. That’s that spiny thing you put bullets in that makes it a revolver. The gap is minuscule, but it’s there or the cylinder couldn’t spin. That gap lets gas escape during firing. And that gas makes noise.
So a silencer could **reduce** the volume of the gun firing, but it’s still fairly loud. And a silencer tends to have other drawbacks like reducing muzzle velocity. So you get all the penalties and still have a loud gun.
That’s real world physics. Since it’s a game you can do whatever you want. But when you see a silencer on a revolver, like in a movie or something, it’s generally because the prop master doesn’t know what the hell they’re doing or someone thought it simply looked cool. But it doesn’t make any sense.
there’s a PL iconic revolver w a silencer. tbf silencers don’t work w revolver firearm technology unless the chamber is sealed which is hard to do with a removable rotating cylinder feeding it
Now, the only people in the world able to put silencers on revolvers are Cuban cartels.
Silencers made 0 sense on revolvers, in order for it to work, the revolver needs to be made with an integral silencer, or at least have silencers in mind during design.
If you mod back in the ability to use silencers on revolvers they still have sound effects. If you find the same to snipers they make no sound reducing the “umph” you feel when using them.

Patched out with 2.0, which honestly makes sense because the game animates gas escaping between the cylinder and the barrel.
There is one suppressed revolver you can get, but it’s a late game item

There’s an iconic one but you can’t really suppress revolvers, at least with how they are currently designed generally. It is possible to design one to be suppressed which has been done so it could definitely be argued that in a sci fi world they could exist

Tbf silenced Overture was way too OP lol. Silenced Pride is a good replacement
