I know the creators of 2077 wanted to include Smasher in this story because of nostalgia. In the TTRPG, Smasher is a character killer. He was created to kill player characters that have gotten too strong.
Yorinobu or another Arasaka executive (maybe ending based) in some sort of high tech power armor would’ve made more sense as a “final boss” and then Adam smasher could’ve existed as an optional final boss that is tough as nails.
I would certainly love a mod that makes Adam Smasher more difficult as his character feels anti-climatic and cheapened with his current level of difficulty.
I wish CDPR just went and made him insanely hard like a From Software game and ignored the whiners who can’t beat him and have to go to “Easy” to beat the game.
