I will be downvoted into oblivion, but…

    Oblivion and Skyrim.

I just can’t enjoy them, at all. I tried to like them, but honestly couldn’t get far before getting bored and playing something else.

    The Witcher 3.

Didn’t like it. It insisted upon itself.

    [insert Soulslike here]

Seriously I keep falling for them telling me “this one is better it’s easy trust me”, but it never is…

  4. DaVinci1362

Black Myth Wukong beyond chapter 2.

Dark Souls. I’m OK with dying and getting my ass kicked over and over in online multiplayer games, but in singe player I enjoy making steady progress.

Fallout. I played through all of fallout 3, but didn’t really enjoy it and couldn’t get into the others despite my efforts. They’re too slow paced.

  7. Machine0fLight

Horizon: Zero Dawn. To me, Aloy was a wooden plank. A very boring protagonist with no emotion. Just kinda annoyed me to the point that it killed my interest in continuing the game.

Death Stranding, played 2 hours of it, nothing happened and moved along.

I’ve heard about Outer Wilds so much. So I bought it last year.

I hated every single minute of my 3.5 hours of play. It felt like a “sophisticated escape room” and I hate escape room.

I understand why some people liked it, but it wasn’t for me and I am not sure if I am going to play it ever again.

    War Thunder
Waaaayyy too much grinding for little reward

    Xenoblade Chronicles 2.

I found the combat to be much more complex than it needed to be and overall un-engaging. The story was also a bit of a slog to me. Was like watching a bad anime. Unfunny jokes and terribly cliche characters. Could never finish it.

Elden Ring. Couldn’t beat any bosses. 100% skill issue.

  13. Vikki_deMorte

Genshin impact. Feels so bad when you dont have all the limited characters and story itself was mediocre at best. For a free game its fine but i wouldn’t pay for it

Lethal Company. I don’t think it’s popular now but when it was booming, I personally thought it was one of the most boring games I’ve ever played.

  15. thanosbananos

Stardew valley. I simply couldn’t get into it even tho I love these types of games. Just wasn’t for me.

  16. Any Monster Hunter game. I’ve tried. Several times. I know a handful of friends who love them and speak very highly of the games but I just cannot get into them no matter how many times I have tried.

  17. Dragonlover63

Balatro. Everyone I knew was raving about it, but I just couldn’t click with it.

    The Last of Us.

I can appreciate the story, having played about halfway through (maybe less), I can tell it’s well written and very engaging from that perspective. The TV show has reinforced that opinion.

But the gameplay is just so tedious and unimaginative, and it feels like nothing much really happens whilst you’re playing. The story only really progresses through cutscenes.

  19. sHoRtBuSseR

Skyrim. Which is funny because I like oblivion

  20. AbhorrentAbs

I’m going to get crucified for this, Stardew Valley. I tried it several times and I just simply do not understand the appeal and more so the obsession that people have with it.

  21. UnicornFarts84

League of Legends but I just don’t seem interested in MOBAs to begin with. I will watch other people play it, I just don’t want to, lol.

  22. tsukuyomidreams

Valhalla was incredibly bad compared to Odyssey.

  23. Davylectric

    Disco Elysium.

I love story-driven rpgs but couldn’t get into this one.

  24. SadisticBear1124

Fortnite. It just seems super repetitive to me. It was fun for maybe 30 minutes to an hour.

  25. JaneksLittleBlackBox

Any game where the main draw is how notoriously difficult it is so gamers who enjoy frustration can feel a sense of pride and accomplishment for finally beating it.

I want to enjoy a game, not rage quit a dozen times after convincing myself eleven times to give it another shot.

    TL;DR: skill issues
