CoDM is drifting away from its name at this point—just rename the game to "Cat Girls on Duty" or "Anime Warfare." The key element that once set this game apart from PUBG Mobile and Free Fire is gone. Now, it just looks like Free Fire with better graphics and mechanics.
At this rate, they'll add weapon skins so bright you could aim down sights and accidentally flashbang yourself. Next update? A sniper rifle that shoots cherry blossoms, because why not? Tactical advantage? Nah, just vibe points.

Yeah because Activision don’t let them to make military themed season also its not that easy for them to switch to military themed stuff unless the do it slowly bit by bit

Well yes. I for one play for the “vibe points”. Don’t really like military themes all that much compared to fantasy, but that’s a crime here and I should just uninstall because that’s not very “call of duty” of me

OP is pointing out that not just this new season, but just in general codm has lost its uniqueness, it’s practically copying every other game than being itself like it used to once be. It’s turning into a pubg/fortnite wannabe. As a dedicated cod fan, I hope the Cod franchise dies soon, its sad to see them slowly kill the game and its credibility.

It’s kind of sad to see COD Mobile also starting to do weird collabs. It doesn’t really suit the game’s original theme. One of the things that made CODM stand out was its grounded, military vibe-but now with flashy skins and out-of-place content, it’s slowly losing that point. This is what happened with PUBG too. When they added too many colorful outfits and silly stuff, the game didn’t feel the same, and a lot of people stopped playing. I hope CODM doesn’t make the same mistake

I would somewhat agree when it comes to how cod is currently. But in my opinion, the old cod games were pretty original, for example the best cod game dont care what anyone says (black ops 2) that game was pretty damn unique. To its game play, to its story, to its zombies and its ton of different characters with different backgrounds and more. Even black ops was unique in its way. I believe once it hit to the remastering of mw or cod 4 was when it went all down hill. But then again i could just be bias since I’ve been playing with the cod franchise for a little more than a decade.
Berserk collab would go hard, we get the dragon slayer and guts as a mythic character skin and shadow blade skin. Guts character skin would go from band of the hawk, to black swordsman, to the fully armored wolf version after fully upgraded with the red glowing eyes. Or his demon dog thing as a k9 unit skin, and a behelit gun charm
And then there’s me that likes both these collabs and the military themed characters/gun camos etc😂

I’m not mad that they’re collaborating with anime but why Seven Deadly Sins? There’s many others they could have picked. I liked the Ghost in the Shell collab because it actually fits in codm with all the futuristic guns and stuff like that. This just feels kinda out of place for me

I’m not an Anime fan, but lots of people that play this game are. They wouldn’t keep making these types of collabs if they weren’t making money from them. These will outsell a mil sim lucky draw every time. I personally don’t like these skins but there’s plenty in the game that I do like so it’s whatever.

as someone who enjoys using military skins, this isn’t really strong argument. I’m also not a big fan of this Collab, but saying that codm is “drifting away from its name” just isn’t true as, from my experience, there are still a lot of military skins available for players to grind for or purchase despite all the all the noise and flashing colours. i honestly think that its pretty cool that codm makes something for every one.

I would love a gun painting system, an emblem making system, stickers, decals for skins, color changing system, custom operator system, gunsmith gun building system. But those are expensive to make upfront to a system that already is making money. This is what we get, and will keep getting, until someone with money decides to change something or another trend comes that makes more money. I just don’t like the final fantasy treatment these 7dsins got. If you are going to have crazy unrealistic shit in the game, might as well go full hog. Heh… I want that pig k9 skin… and pig stickers

I’d be gald if they collab with variety of animes, not just flashy ones. Shooters game collaborations with shooting, mecha animes makes much more sense. Hellsing and Evangelion would be nice if they can pull it off.
