Tough for them to release at the same time as OBLIVION
This game is getting the Titanfall 2 treatment.
I admit I blew my monthly budget for gaming on Oblivion, but I’ll be back for it next month
Edit: I’m on Playstation, so no Gamepass for me. Working on changing that tho, lol

Expedition 33 is not published by Xbox but I fail to understand the timing here, they may have not been aware of Oblivion remastered obviously but Xbox should have maybe managed it better gamepass wise.
Would be a shame to have a lukewarm launch despite being a good game just because of timing between two gamepass titles
Oblivion is like peak 150k on steam before the weekend last time I checked..for a gamepass game releasing on ps5 too.

weird that it’s only $45. it seems like a AAA game. I wonder if this is a rare case where the price tag could actually hurt it by making it seem like less of a big deal than it is??

Nintendo releasing Mario Kart for $80 looks dumber with each passing $50 release. I’m hoping that Oblivion Remastered and Expedition 33 both sell well enough to convince more companies that $40-$50 is a viable price point in 2025.
Any knows how big the game is in Terms of average Playtime from any of the Reviews?
While it looks stellar, releasing the same day as Oblivion’s surprise launch is some pretty catastrophic luck. Curious of what their sales numbers will be. 😅

Between this, Kingdom Come Deliverance II, and Oblivion Remastered, we’re eating good on RPG’s this year.
Every single review I have seen so far has been “This is a masterpiece and you MUST play it” not “Some might not like it” but rather “Staggering achievement, you MUST play it”. Quite incredible tbh. I have Gamepass but I think I will buy this game. This LOOKS like art and I kinda want to have a copy/support the devs.

It’s pretty impressive that a team of 30 people makes a debut game with an AA budget and hits a Metacritic / opencritic of ~92. That’s better than KCD2, AC Shadows, Monster Hunter, Avowed etc etc

Initially, I’ve been meaning to check this one out ever since the first trailer had Ben Starr voicing over. I fucking loved his work in XVI, so I figured I’d see where he goes next.
The fact that it has turned into one of the best games of the year and a GOTY candidate is the sweetest fucking cherry on top.
Looks interesting, might check it out once I’m done JCBP’ing

We got Ghost of Yotei October 2nd, Death Stranding 2 in a few months, and maybe GTA 6.
This game is coming out tomorrow right after Oblivion Remaster. We even have a promising games like Inzoi for sim players. MH Wilds is strong, Avowed, and even DW Origins despite not for me was great for others. I’m guessing updates to Black Myth possibly this year like an expac again that’s a maybe. Patch 8 for BG3 released…like sheesh I honestly don’t think we had a year like this. I think the only flaw this year is the whole political stuff/nintendo/prices drama. I know I’m missing other amazing games. Like even games that are iffy to people Ashes of Creation and Star citizen, their updates are good this year IMHO.
Terms of game releases and the quality of said games might be one of the best years atleast that’s what it seems to me so far.
Edit: Last thing to add I think almost every game genre is covered this year in terms of quality or above average gameplay.
Xenoblade X, BG3 Patch 8 and Oblivion sandwiching it might give it some trouble.
Hopefully it does well.

What does it actually do being an oathbreaker? I guess you lose the channel oath charges so no more lay on hands?
Bruh, I have game pass but I’m going to buy the game anyways just to support them. They totally deserve it.
