Remastering this and Fallout 3 on UE5 are training exercises for the studio before they actually put ES6 to code. They may have been teasing it for a while but I doubt that game is even being worked on right now beyond storyboarding/writing/plot.
They need a new engine first and this shows that they’ve chosen that. The old engine was held together with enough spit and duct tape for the last 25+ years lol

Money for old rope. Keep their MSFT overlords happy for a minute. TES6 is still far off and not sure anybody has high hopes for it yet.
Skyrim had 4 or 5 re-releases. The others were ports to other consoles. They were still the same game

I will say this oblivion remaster is running insanely smoothly on my pc. Getting great frames without any stuttering at 1440p ultra
Let’s see how long it takes the modding community to either turn it into a completely unrecognizable game or sexualize everything.
