Why Gigabyte? Why?

still better than assus adding a stupidly loud and unnecessary 4th fan to their $2800 GPU

Gaming with a 37Β°C GPU is nice and all but I would much rather prefer it a bit quieter.

They probably designed it to top performance benchmark tables.

Yeah… I pretty much expect Gigabyte products to be half cooked and avoid them like the plague these days

My first build had a gigabyte mobo and GPU.
    Never again.
Went Asus and XFX with the new one. Issue free for two years.

That’s a bit disappointing if there’s no fan stop. Half the reason I like my Gigabyte 2070 Super is that fans are off until it hits about 60c. Do the newer ones not have that option?

1000rpm is inaudible unless you play games without sound ?

Funny thing is that Gigabyte is not even the worst manufactor out there πŸ˜€

So just change the fancurve? What’s the problem?

Put it on a fan controller with a knob to adjust and plug it in mainboard.

If you hear the fans at 1000RPM then those fans are shit.

What’s the issue with adjusting the fan curve yourself? And how can anyone hear 1000 RPM? I don’t hear any noticeable noise until ~1300 RPM.

Lol, whats wrong with a little fan noise?

Q: Which brand for my Nvidia card?

A: Brands don’t make any difference. All cards perform the same.

Q: Which branch for my AMD card?

A: ah that would be Sapphire, Powercolor and Xfx of course πŸ˜†

Dude, 1000 RPM GPU fans is nothing when you have two little effing 45mm fans on your motherboard that absolutely scream at 8500 RPM when there is a little bit of load. As a bonus, Asus thought it was a great idea to make them not controllable at all, whether it’s with the BIOS or with Armoury Crate. The motherboard in question is the ROG Strix X570-I.

My Gigabyte 4080 Super has 1300 minimum speed.

I’d love to take a few more degrees and run it at half. My case has good enough airflow to pull that off.
