Just doing a side by side comparison with Seraph, even with the 10% reduction from the silencer, Seraph still does more damage. In fact, the only thing Her Majesty does better is have a slightly better reload speed, which isn't even that much better when considering it has only a 10 bullet mag vs the 14 for Seraph. Even with Optical Camo, I can't imagine that it's all around much better.

They like the way it looks and don’t pay attention to the numbers, apparently. Because you’re right.

  2. 95_slowvette

I haven’t tried it, but going off the wiki it says that damage bonus from stealth is 150%, which I imagine would put it significantly ahead of the Seraph. Interested if anyone can confirm this as a stealth playthrough is what I’m looking at doing next myself.

Those explosive rounds don’t alert enemies?

  4. cha0sb1ade

100% headshot crit chance with optical camo on is where the magic happens. You can get 100% crit chance out of any weapon apparently, but you have to waste lots of your cyberware slots to do it. This does it for free, as long as you’re getting head shots, which, of course you’re going to be if you’re whole point is stacking damage multipliers to try to kill as many enemies as you can with one shot each from stealth, while they’re standing or walking.

c’mon, like you wouldnt pick a gun that looks like the Mk23 SOCOM for stealth?

  6. nonplayablechloe

Optimal camo activates guaranteed crits and more damage and seeing as you can actually exit combat with opt camo it’s kinda unbeatable for stealth specifically. But it’s a single player game that’s not super difficult so the highest number doesn’t even matter, you can use a nue with a generic silencer and do just as good.

  7. Benevolent__Tyrant

It’s right in the description “Extra damage”. It has a +100% stealth damage bonus.

  8. DifferencePretend

Because it’s cool as fuck that’s why

  9. Historical-Spare-250

i always run the Tamayura with a legendary silencer and so far nothing has beat the damage output i get from it

  10. TheGiant_EnemySpider

Maybe because it was designed for stealth and it can basically instakill everything when optical camo is active? I dunno, though.

I’ve never tried Seraph in stealth builds before, mostly because “fires explosive rounds” usually implies the gun is gonna be too loud to stealth regardless of whether you have a silencer on it. do explosive rounds not break stealth in this game?

  12. Zoulogist

By the time you get those weapons, everything does overdamage. So pick the one with a better mag/reload

  13. downdowntown5638

Its the story behind the choice of weapon, my belief is that i continue to use it…for Alex

  14. likewhenyoupee

I like the revolver you get from the Cuban cosplay mission you get from Hands. Can’t remember the name.

  15. I suspect it’s because, of the best options, it’s the most easily accessible for the average player.

Pride is better, but you have to kinda know what you’re doing to get it.

La Chingada Dorada is fantastic, but near the later parts it starts to fall behind, and you need an upgrade.

La Mancinella, imho, is also great, but that requires competing Phantom Liberty and going back to Dogtown, so it comes kinda late also and feels like you’re going back to a place you already finished.

Sure you can get any pistol early if you have a good route, but for the average Joe playing semi blind the first time around, Her Majesty is easier to naturally obtain and use.

Bro, guaranteed headshot crits cannot be overstated. On a revolver that devastates basically anything, on a pistol plus the stealth bonus that’s gonna wreck shit.

  17. SuitableBug6221

Seraph isn’t considered a good stealth weapon because it fires explosive rounds, which alert nearby enemies.

People have already mentioned the 100% crit chance and zero weapon sway while having Optical Camo on, but to really make this effect absolutely crush in a stealth build you should have your build set up something like this:

    – 15 in Cool to get the third tier of the Deadeye perk (when above 85% stamina: +25% headshot damage, +25% weakspot damage, no weapon sway) and the Creeping Death perk (while Optical Camo is active or you are undetected, neutralizing an enemy grants: +15% health, +15% stamina, and +10% movement speed for 6 sec.). At 20 Cool you can take the Run ‘N’ Gun perk, which makes hip-firing pistols use no stamina, which works better for Optical Camo since you’ll still have a reticle in hip-fire.

    – Get to level 60 Headhunter to unlock the benefit of gaining 15% Optical Camo charge when you neutralize an enemy while undetected, during Focus or Deadeye mode, or with a thrown weapon.

    – Have cyberware like the Axolotl or the Quantum Tuner to help reduce the cooldown time on cyberware that has charges, in this instance the Optical Camo.

    – Use the Chipware Connoisseur perk to change the stat bonuses you get when upgrading cyberware to ones that buff stealth, headshot and crit damage.

    – Get your stamina regen high enough to keep your stamina above 85% for Deadeye and Focus. Putting 20 in Reflexes and getting the Tailwind perk to get 25% stamina back from air dashes and double jumps is arguably the easiest way to do this and traverse environments for stealth, but there are other perks, cyberware stats and items like the Military-Grade Lactic Acid Recyclers that can accomplish this too.

    – Take the Emergency Cloaking perk from the Relic attribute tree to use Optical Camo to exit combat, which can allow you to re-enter stealth mode once you’re undetected and regain the +150% stealth damage from Her Majesty.

Basic use of Her Majesty with just the Optical Camo will give you what’s on the tin as far as the gun’s iconic effects, but the gun works best when you have your entire build around stealth plus maximizing critical and headshot damage. When played right, Her Majesty can have effectively unlimited criticals that can take out elites in one shot so long as you keep your Optical Camo charged up and turned on (the latter which becomes a lot easier with the Vanishing Act perk). Pride is still the best all rounder pistol for every playstyle and is a perfectly fine alternative, but Her Majesty tanks it when you are totally built for stealth.

Side note: if you took the PL ending that gets you the Quantum Tuner and are bold enough to try it, doing a stealth build with the Chrome Compressor over other OS cyberware can be really rewarding as the Tuner will only recharge your Optical Camo. You can run through one charge, immediately get another, and then still be able to build up charge pretty easily with the Level 60 Headhunter buff. This also allows you to get other cyberware that benefits stealth builds like the Deep Field Visual Interface, which will come in clutch for enemies farther away when you don’t want to use the Optical Camo just yet.

Percect accuracy, 100% crit chance headshot… If you use optical camo.

It’s a pretty damn good stealth weapon, A pocket sniper.

    Great post , super informative

La chingona dorada pops heads like there’s no tomorrow.

  22. Egomania27

Because its cool as fuck. It looks fantastic (side not I hate, hate, HATE the look of the liberty pistols, who the FUCK would wanna use a pistol that is three meters long and looks like it weighs 10 kg?!), its purpose built for stealth and…

I really dont care about the numbers. I have never had the problem that I just needed that 5 more damage. So I use the slick and sleek 007 pistol instead of the brick.

  23. radio_allah

Meanwhile I’m just here wondering why Alex suddenly decided to gift some random merc she just met her lifelong service weapon.

It’s like in Witcher when some swordsman gives you the sword that’s been with him for 20 years, just for you to maybe use it a couple times.

  24. sakura608

I’ve been playing with silenced Death and Taxes. Double headshots is pretty sweet

  25. jembutbrodol

I am not gonna answer with number / meta / crit / headshot chances, because come on… if you build a proper stealth V, high crit with every buff and boost, you can use almost anything with “headshot damage ++” and be done with it.

I did one playthrough on Very Hard with a basic Unity + Silencer. No iconic, no seraph, no “her majesty” and it works.

So i dont bother “yooo but this gun is much more powerful bla bla bla”

    Anyway, to answer your question

    Why Her Majesty?

It is basically Unity with special silencer installed on it. It has Unity ultra cool “john wick” style animation, and it makes 100% sense to use it as lore reason (the gun was built especially for stealth)

“But but but its not good for open combat”

Well dont get caught? Dont deal open combat? Or use other guns?

Oh also, i am not a fan of the Seraph and his friends style of a gun (liberty), it just too big for a “stealth v” for my opinion

  26. Mcgibbleduck

Because they didn’t get Pride yet, which is the best pistol in the game by far.

  27. cuz it’s got a laser and that’s fuckin cool
