    Fable is a good one for me, starting off as a child then growing into a teen then an adult later.

    I love FF7 so the Bombing Mission sticks out to me so much.

    Warcraft 3 and Portal come to mind. Cyberpunk 2077 has some really good openers. Of course, they are irrelevant to the rest of the story, but still as way to get the player excited, the game’s 3 openers do a fantastic job in that sense

    You wake up naked chained to a stone slab and break free before promptly crushing the skull of a zombie. Then, a few tutorial rooms later you get to hear Doom Guys amazing response when Dr Hayden explains why the risk versus reward was worth it.

    Fallout 3, like others have said stepping out of the Vault was a transcendent experience, especially if you had never played the previous games so you didn’t know what to expect
