So last week, I turned my Windows desktop into a Minecraft style inventory screen just for fun and now I’ve taken it even further!

I made the wallpaper actually interactive, where the player’s head follows the mouse, just like it does in the Minecraft inventory screen. Honestly I like it myself haha

I also replaced the Google Drive icon with an Ender Chest, and the regular folder icons with Minecraft Chest icons, to match the theme even better.

What could be done to make it even better? What do you think?

the icons just seem a bit out of place use a filter/ai to minecratify them

rainmeter ? if not, would be way more efficient with it.

Pretty cool, but the visible performance drops just for a desktop would take away from the utility.

How much ram and GPU power is this taking up? I had to stop using live wallpapers from wallpaper engine because it was a lil too taxing on my system for my liking

Looks great ! Just so you know, Google drive has a software version that is way more convenient to use 😄

Usually when people post a “Look at this really clever thing I did with my wallpaper” post on Reddit, it’s the same shit we’ve all seen before.

This is actually new, fun and very creative. Huge kudos to you 😊👍

You know why OP chose bedrock edition instead of java? Simple. Bedrock doesn’t run on Linux natively. Therefore OP will never recreate JE on Windows 11.

You might want to search in [r/unixporn](https://www.reddit.com/r/unixporn/) “[Minecraft] Minecraft is my bootloader, boot splash, display manager, and window manager.”

    This subrredit doesn’t allow links

Would probably require scripting, but it’d be neat if putting items in the active item area updated the taskbar

is there a version for java with JEI as the search bar?
