Yeah that’s called dropshipping but when reputable brands do it it’s called legit business.

Who would ever think otherwise? I mean the company doesn’t make 49$ profit, because they plan the product, market it, needs to do legal business, but even then, if the factory gets 1$, the company still gets at least 25

He is right, but it’s also important to say that China behaves the same with smaller countries, even involved in illegal workers trafficking.

The gap between elites and a a middle class (if we still considerate middle class exists) goes insane

R&D, shipping, marketing, sales, and finally, profit margins. You can’t pay a salesman is the US $8k/year, can you?

The first xPhone that rolls out of the factory costs about $320M to make, the second one is about $150.

Here’s a real question: Why don’t Chinese factories sell directly to consumers and make a lot more profit? If their production cost is $10 and Nike sells it for $150 while they sell it for $75, they would still be making a significant profit and receiving all the revenue.

Come to China and you’ll see, the cost of living here is almost 10 times lower than in the US.

Yes this works…. If it’s one person working on everything.
Scalability of the business is the crux that’s difficult to put into perspective, and since every service needs to have not just enough to cover the costs of the service but also enough to make a profit, it all scales up exponentially.
Is it a lot? Yeah definitely, but we can’t minimize just how many hands is the product being passed on for before it reaches the consumer.
Blame consumerism if you want to, I’d love to find a proper solution, but big companies will big company.

This is the thought I had when Trump was claiming all of the other countries were “ripping off the United States”. I was like bro…. we buy 10,000 bananas from South America for like $50, and you think THEYRE the ones ripping us off?????
