eh, I don’t think it takes a genius to tell that they’ve been on the verge of such for a long while. Especially after missing out on 5 majors in a row while having expensive salaries and wasting 2 mill via an asshole tax from Heroic from a shitty duo.
And idk who would even buy the name and org of Astralis unless there’s some Danish billionaire that wants to play with it.

I’ll repost what I’ve said but to put it simply : OVERDRIVE IS LYING (or speculating whatever the jargon is)
Astralis got huge funding months ago that secured them a lot of money and in any case they can always go shill for Saudi Arabia to get a stipend of money.
And I also believe their getting government funding through a program (all though don’t quote me on that one I’m far from certain)
Every player on Astralis is likely paid between 20-40k a month (maybe even more for device who knows) and that’s not counting coach and all the other staff members that are on the payroll.
Trust me the major sticker capsule isn’t enough to bankroll a org of the size of Astralis and it hasn’t been the case for years it’s a nice windfall yes but in the grand scheme of things it isn’t relevant.
You can look at their most recently financial earnings report (2023 was the last one) to see that they’re doing fine as an org oddly enough
Aren’t they owned by RFRSH? …the owners of Blast? How can they go bankrupt?

Overweight is making stuff up. Astralis has lots of sponsors and there’s no way they’ve spent all the money they got when they sold their LEC spot in 2023. Their profit for that year was like 16 million EUR. If you want to know they have money, they opened a modern HQ bigger than Astralis Nexus in January. They don’t need sticker money to exist.
