    I want you to understand. if 2077 had multiplayer at launch, we wouldn’t have got Phantom liberty. This is terrible.

    I’m all-in for an online coop, but I don’t see any reason to put multiplayer.

    How would that even work? PvP doesn’t make sense with Sandevistan and all those instakill quick hacks and stealth for example. Coop doesn’t make sense either because it’s not a horde shooter.

    I really hope it’s BG3 coop at most. Which in theory could mean going into more classical RPG experience and having team of mercs.

    If by multiplayer they mean co-op, fuck yeah, works great for Baldur’s Gate

    I think something like this could be kinda cool if it’s similar to BG3’s multiplayer, where friends can play an otherwise single player game together and go on gigs with each other as backup.

    2077 may have possibly skewed peoples’ vision, but Cyberpunk was never intended to be a solo game. The relationship between player characters is huge in the TTRPG, and was highlighted really well in Edgerunners.

    If they use multiplayer to lean into that aspect of the setting, it could be pretty fun. If it’s something more mundane like your typical pvp multiplayer game modes, I’d rather they pass on it.

    Just give me 2-4 player co op for fuck’s sake.

    I don’t want a competitive mode, I dont want a GTA online mode, I dont want separated unrelated co op missions, just let my friends join my campaign 🙏
