I really loved playing the few braindance sequences in Cyberpunk and was bummed when they didn’t explore the concept further. I’d already started concepting a mystery game inspired by Obra Dinn, so I decided to theme the game around exploring old fractured memories and filling memory holes to solve the mystery, inspired by the Braindance gameplay and story.
While the gameplay is decently different, Braindances played a big role in creating the visual representation of memories and general vibes of the tech hehe. Made this short video showing off some of the scenes and gameplay with my favorite soundtrack from Cyberpunk 🙂
You made a full game based on many people’s least favorite part of cyperpunk 2077? A bold choice, I respect it.

That’s certainly a bold choice.
The braindances were easily my least favorite part of both Cyberpunk 2077 and Fallout 4.

isn’t braindance like just a sort of….vr experience from the pov of someone with their sensation ? and v use the editing tool to find hints ? it doesn’t remind me at all of braindance from the video i see

I like the braindance mechanics itself.
But in the narrative of the game bd scences was kinda out of the rythm.
Probably check your work.

And yet some how you posted this 8n fallout and said you based the game on the Kellogg memory sequence.
Well at least you got the lying to the player part down.
Holy fuck, you even claim on like 5 other games. Holy shit man indie devs never used to lie like this.

Straight up using the music from Cyberpunk in your trailer, too. I’m not personally bothered by this, but I hope you have your lawyer on speed dial, lol.
