The RTX 4070 was released on shelves on April 13, 2023. I got mine open box for $480 back then. The "MSRP" of the 5060 TI 16GB is $429. Two years later, the newer generation's supposedly 60 TI class GPU is still slower than it.
that’s what happens if a gpu manufacturer is just focusing on AI cards and doesn’t care about gaming cards at all.
HardStroke
Used high end 30 series are looking better and better with every single GPU Nvidia is shitting out.
DrIvoPingasnik
That’s laughable.
7orly7
In my country for the same MRSP of the 5060 ti I can buy the rx 7080… and it has better driver support than nvidia has demonstrated
SufficientSoft3876
like many professional reviewers have said, it would all be “fixed” with an honest name.
This looks like a 5050Ti, and if it were named (and priced) as such, it would instantly be a GOOD card.
Scytian
It’s basically 4060 Ti Super, or 3060 Ti Super Super.
uptheirons726
Another reason I will stick with my 4070 Super for years to come.
popsikohl
Considering they didn’t give the 5080 24gb of vram, I don’t think I’m moving from my 4080 Super for a LONG while.
NoStructure5034
Yikes
Ok_Positive_9687
Great for me, I got 4070 lol and they gotta optimize games for at least 5060 or 5060 ti lol
Silencer_
Every day that passes, my 6950xt I got for 400 late last year looks like a better deal. Which is kind of shocking because I was expecting the opposite but I wanted to grab something before we were aboard the tariff train.
ManufacturerLost7686
I was worried for a while about buying an expensive laptop with 4000 series just before the release of the 5000 series.
I’m no longer worried.
Dlo_22
Its… fine. Not horrible, not really good. Its… FINE. SHOULD cost like $399 at the most in 2025.
Illustrious-Ear-6300
my 3080 is sweating right now seeing its still on this list.
WiseAce1
Laughs with my Titan X still handling everything I throw at it.
David0ne86
Cuz this is nothing but a 60 class card (non ti obviously) with 16gb of ram. And the non ti is just a 50 class card.
Electric-Mountain
This has been the trend this who generation I don’t know why anyones surprised, either buy it if you need it or don’t. It’s not like Nvidia cares anymore.
WoodooTheWeeb
After every horrible launch a better one will come… In 2027 nvidia will hopefully deliver a better generation
SleepyGamer1992
I Iove having a 7900 XTX.
Mediocre_Ad_2422
3080 gang gang, still strong after 5 years
SirSeppuku
My RX 6700 XT looking better and better everyday
Current_Finding_4066
I agree. It is dogshit. You could also get Radeon 7800 XT for around 400, or 7750 XT.
This GPU is way overpriced.
FamiliarChard6129
Now that’s hot garbage.
gnrlblanky1
3070 ti super finally released 🙌
Need_For-Sleep
I think my 2080 super is still in the mix here… 5 years later and still running great
Brondster
me acting smug for once on me 7800XT cos of how much higher cards slaughtered it …..
Dilegit
I picked up a 4080S on release for MSRP and was happy with its performance but I’ve vowed with this one I’m keeping it for at least 3-4 generations and if AMD is still rocking it I’m going team red next.
AlexisFR
It is what it is. That’s what happens when you guys buy 90% of them.
KeonXDS
They should compare it to the 4 yr old 3060ti, the results will be more embarrassing for the 5060ti
Mystikalrush
Better than a 308.. a 407… It’s just better damnit!
enlighter4407
I still got a 3080 i bought at the start of 2021, and it’s looking like better and better value everyday than actually buying a 50 series. Crazy!
Real_Garlic9999
The more time goes on the better I feel about my 6700 xt purchase
ilhass
Another trash from Huang
RandomGuy622170
Let me get this out of the way: Nvidia fucking sucks. This entire generation is trash!
RavenK92
Buy AMD or Intel people
shadowhunterxyz
Isn’t normally that when the next gen comes out the 5060ti=4070?
What is this
Eric_Olthwaite_
This all started when idiots bought those stupid Titans.
Void-kun
Upgraded from a 2070 to a 4070 and honestly I’m not happy with the performance. The reliance on DLSS and Frame Gen has fucked Nvidia GPUs. So we don’t see generational leaps in cards anymore.
I’m fine having those tools used to allow lower powered cards to remain relevant for longer and to play more games.
But for the top-end cards to be relying on them is just ridiculous to me.
Really hoping AMD improve because I really am losing patience with Nvidia the last couple of years.
8-12GB VRAM in this day and age is a piss take.
HighKingOfGondor
What has me surprised about this chart is just how little an improvement the 5080 is over the 4080. if Nvidia keeps that up I won’t need to upgrade my 4080 until like the 70 or 80 series
