I guess it would … much better to put the heat sink on the back fan … Genius!

  4. AlgaeDizzy2479

    That’s something I haven’t seen before…

    Geez I cannot imagine why.

Back in the early 90s, we used to test processors without heat sinks at all. They would get hot, but not bad. That worked all the way until the first Pentium processor. We learned quickly that was no longer ok, especially back then, when there were not many safety features to prevent the minor issue of it melting the board and catching fire. Which can still happen, but less likely.

I only have two questions, HOW and WHY?! 😭😭

  8. hceuterpe

You should just say the PC is a lost cause and to replace it with a prebuilt.

This idiot should never build another PC again, nor ever work on one…

My inner redditor thought “Surely, you jest.”

My IT experience says, “I’ve seen worse.”

It’s air cooled. “Naturally aspirated,” if you will.

  16. golruul

Hey the heatsink was running hot, so the user moved it to a better position away from the heat source and with better airflow.

    Cooler heatsink!

  17. Howden824

They took air cooled a bit too literally

  18. xCurlyxTopx
