Why are the brakes on bikes so bad in this game

It helps if you’re not going 200mph trying to slam on your brakes lol

Because the vanilla driving model is ass. If you can mod the game, I highly suggest doing so, getting the right mods makes driving so much better.

One parts being hard to make braking good, two parts you don’t want realistic braking.

Meanwhile whenever I brake, I pull an Akira.

It feels like yur going faster💀

I use the handbrake and slide to a smooth stop.

Brakes? I just slam headfirst into a wall at full speed

hold crouch, backwards, and to a side, you drift fairly well.

  9. I just pray as I rapidly approuch a turn

Then there’s me that prefers the bikes in the game knows not to try to brake with intention to stop at high speeds like 100+mph instead at a much lower speed before the spot I intend to park at. I much prefer driving a bike to driving a car in this game easier for me to drive & easier to park.

I think it’s an attempt to replicate real life. Motorcycles irl typically have longer stopping distance than cars since they have less traction and are a flip risk, and braking in a turn can be perilous. Not sure how accurate it is though since the speeds are so wonky in game. “60mph” feels more like 30mph.

I ride a motorcycle IRL. Stopping distances can be quite large compared to cars, especially if you’re traveling over 100mph. Grip is the main limiting factor as motorcycles have pretty small contact patches.

In real life, motorcycles take forever to slow down compared to cars also.

I always do handbrake for bikes, and it seems to brake and drift better than doing reverse/brake.

You know how something can be better than shit, but still be shit? The brakes, and driving as a whole are in a noticeably better state than 1.0 . But somehow they really kind of just glanced at bikes on a Tuesday, *kind of* tweaked them and called it good, compared to most of the cars. There is still a loooooootttt of 1.0 in there, and every once in awhile it will pop up, the bikes especially stick out as one of those things

Once I stopped driving like GTA and started driving like a sane person I started enjoying it a lot more. Oh and turning the steering sensitivity down helped a lot too

Better thank car driving! Controls are so much better on bikes
