If we’re just talking about originals, I’d say DE and Shadows are the best ones.

I really love Gorod and Zetsubou, but I think those 2 are absolutely unmatched in terms of quality.

They’re all so good I can’t pick one

Gorod gorod gorod. Shadows overrated. Need 4 for it to be fun. I only play duos and trios

    1. Zetsubuo No Shima – I don’t know why, but I love this one. Maybe it’s because it’s the right mix between being challenging and rewarding. I also really like maps that give you ways to progress through the map faster from the very start. Very few maps can master that element and I would say the only ones that have are Origins, Buried, Shadows of Evil, and this one (maybe Mob of the Dead too).

    2. Revelations – Similarly to Zetsubuo, it has a fun progression through the map, but it is much simpler and easier. While the map is fun, it’s not very inventive like it’s predecessors. I might flip flop this one with the next map.

    3. Shadows of Evil – This map is great. Overrated, but great nonetheless. My main complaint actually contradicts my first point about map progression, but that’s because I think it’s terribly intricate for a beginner map. It also feels like a rehash of Mob of the Dead and Origins combined, which sounds really fun, but I really do value unique experiences, and Shadows just didn’t feel truly unique in terms of mechanics, but man is the atmosphere amazing.

    4. Gorod Krovi – I feel bad placing it this low, but this truly does have the worst map progression, as those pods that you have to defend really throws off the round progression. I do enjoy the map for what it is though, and I would say it is the most creative and original maps from the game. I’m sure if I play it more and try to master it, it could go up higher.

    5. The Giant – I hate the idea of map remakes, but this is simply just a great remake of a great map. It certainly does play differently than the original. Der Reise will simply always be a good map and I think it’s hard for them to mess it up. The Giant simply built off of that just a little bit so it didn’t feel like a 1-to-1 remake.

    6. Der Eisendrache – This is like a modern Kino Der Toten in my opinion (not that Kino is bad, that’s the OG). It’s horribly overrated and definitely the most unoriginal map imo, but it has one feature that I think is one of the greatest additions to Zombies and that’s the Undercroft Anti-Gravity. Truly amazing feature that will never be replicated the same way again. Other than that though, it really does feel like another rehash, and so I feel it’s the most boring out of all the BO3 offerings.
