Everytime I see these things I’m reminded that my first bug was 3 years later when I glitched through the ground when crashing my car 🤣 I have no idea how I got that lucky seeing what others went through 😅

What y’all didn’t know is that Keanu wasn’t the first choice for JS. Here you see an early take featuring the original Ringo Starr in the role.

A good laugh lol xd.
Spends 60 bucks for a buggy ass game. I’m lucky I buy games long after launch so the only bug was when cars randomly spawned above me. Or a turbo dash across half the city. Or when I was driving and the ground suddenly opened under me.

This is a regular NPC in the game how is this going to show the game’s launch state? You can still find this NPC in the game btw

What was funny was me playing the entire game end to end launch week with only one bug that I noticed (npc glitching through a car). I was scratching my head wondering what the fuss was about. I was playing on PC tho.

I didn’t really mind the bugs, even though I was using an Xbox one at launch, it didn’t crash half as much as people said it would.

I remember how absolutley pissed and disappointed I was at launch. Since the E3 trailer I was so hyped. In preparation me and some friends got immersed in the TTRPG and were so excited.
Then the game released and it was so good but so bad at the same time. Like I loved the story, but the glitches and bugs broke immersion so bad it was a struggle to finish.
Then I put it down and forgot about it for almost a year. Then picking it up, polished and mostly fixed, the game was a breath of fresh air. It quickly became one of my favorite games and while it didn’t live up to everything that we were promised, it was phenomenal.
I’m glad the game recovered as much as it did, and it is now heavily critically acclaimed. But imagine the love and hype if it launched even at the state it was 6 months after launch?
Cyberpunk Orion or whatever they decide to eventually call it would have the hype GTA6 currently has. It’s still gonna be hyped. But not to the level it deserves.
Then again maybe it shouldn’t have the insane hype behind it. Hype only leads to disappointment most of the time.

Cyberpunk at release gave me an amazing story, unforgettable characters, and one of the best cities I’ve experienced in gaming, some people say they’re glad they played the game with all updates I say the opposite I’m glad I enjoyed at launch and to this day is one of my favorite games of all time

That’s Jason Copperhand. Great guy when zooted, not so fun otherwise.

Kind of funny this npc in particular existed in the game from the start, but was used lots of times as one of the proofs of how Johnny looks in last gen consoles.
It’s also the same for the npcs falling off buildings, it was (still is) one of the environmental storytelling that happen randomly and in the background without any prompt but was often cited as “lmao npcs appearing out of nowhere and falling off” gliches and bugs.
There also another one in particular that I think lots of players don’t know about, some npcs (and also V) can trip over objects & corpses and fall on the ground, it doens’t happen often but it can happen. I’ve seen lots of footage of it as example of buggy AI behaviour.
And I’m not denying that the game’s launch was perfect or anything, but there are examples of bugs & glitches that aren’t, but since it looked like bugs it was assumed to be among the many.

Never had a problem with the game when it first came out, I started on the PS4 too. Got 2230 hours logged on the PS4 version.

I played Cyberpunk2077 day one on an old laptop. Best experience of my life, the ending made me stare at the ceiling for 2 days (got Temperance, by misunderstanding the bridge/well offer).
Never had impactful bugs, nor T-poses.
Sure, had some animation glitches on secondary NPC, exploding cars, and had one gig I had to tp out then in to reactivate, but nothing chaotic like the press and the console players described back then.

One of the most fucked launches ever, should never have been released so unfinished

Should never have been launched so unfinished. A truly fucked launch that should always remain a stain on itd reputation

Johnny Silverhand except instead of Arasaka it’s Biotechnica he hates, or Militech, it’s like…. A disturbing alternate universe where Johnny is a crack addicy
