I've been running AI OC just fine for a few months with my custom loop, but the watts being pulled is a concern. How many watts can my Asus z690-i's single CPU 8-pin connector safely pull?
I'm seeing upwards of 320w+ on some runs. I think the most I've seen was 356w when I tried some new settings. Cooling doesn't seem to be the issue, but my mobo is letting me pull a concerning amount of watts for my delidded 14700k. Or is this just all normal? Everything is updated with the latest microcode. I've had this cpu since around launch with little to no real problems.

I’ve been reading conflicting info, but this other Redditor said a single 8-pin CPU power connector can pull 384w:

Ummm I have no idea. I assume that if your cpu pulled too much power the pc would just power off instantly
